Fine lady of Banbury
Jo Dynan
A WOMAN’S dedication to the community deserves recognition, her husband says.
Lee Dynan has nominated his wife Jo for the numerous voluntary projects she has thrown her support behind over the years.
She is also chairman of Hill View Primary School parent-teacher association and was elected as vice-chairman of the school’s governors. Her two sons, Thomas and Ryan, are pupils. Each year she regularly helps to raise £10,000 for school funds.
Mrs Dynan of Rosemary Drive, Banbury, said: “Just to be nominated is an honour and it is nice that people have thought of me as a Fine Lady.”
Mr Dynan said: “I feel she should again be recognised for her passionate desire to do something worthwhile for the people who live in the area.”
Despite being registered as disabled, Mr Dynan said his wife was still as devoted to helping the community as ever.
He said: “Jo deserves the title of Fine Lady of Banbury because she is determined not to let her own problems stop her making a difference to the community in which she lives.”
This year Mrs Dynan is raising money for the Leonard Cheshire Home in its bid to move to a new site in Warwick Road, Banbury.
